Ability I Believe  :2nd Session Before start, I ask you what is your ability. Then Have you experienced when you are asked to do sth, you refuesed “Oh this is my job or field’ Do you give up to do sth in advance because that is not your field?  For me, Yes I did.   (Point: 뉴런은 일정,  새로 생산X) I will let know you interesting thing including my story.  (화면전환) Our Brain cell called neuron are connected by molecular and electric signal. We have almost 100 billion neurons. Additionally, your brain cell is not created anymore. If you do better on your job and get used to work(업무에 익숙해진다), it does not mean brain cell is created but connection between cells is stronger.   (when I had interview with my professor, she asked me ‘Do you good at reading article?’ and I said Yes Of Course! Because I have studied biology and chemical in college! Result? I have strived to just recognize and read experiment article after 3 months. It spends too much time than I expected. This is what I believe I good at. but reality is not.   (여기 잘 설명하는게 매우중요) When I realized the fact, I establish one hypothesis on me. I didn’t good job at even major, Otherwise, with same effort, I can do anything. Try to new field! Suddenly I book (시사 경제) Economic test held by The Korean Economic Daily just one week ago. Finally, I got a normal grade. I didn’t satisfy. anyway. This is what I believe I am not good at and Reality I not   How well I at understanding experiment or Economics depends Just on logical thinking and effort. The end of test, I realized the momnets when I said ‘oh, this is not my field, I can’t afford it. ’ it was shame moment. If I really to achieve and strive to do, I can do anything what I want!   (마무리 잘해야한다.) Do you remined same experience with me? 시작하기전에 묻고 싶습니다. 여러분이 믿는 여러분의 능력은 무엇인가요? 그렇다면 ‘그건 내일이아니야, 내 분야가 아니야’라고 하면서 거절한 경험이 있나요?여러분은 그건 내 분야가 아니야? 라고 하며 시도를 안해본 적 있나요? 제게 물으면 바로 Yes입니다.     오늘 저는 재미있는 과학사실과 저의 경험을 공유하려해요. 여러분 뇌의 신경세포는 Channel 이라는 것으로 연결되어있어요. 신기하게도 여러분이 그 일에 집중하고 노력하는 것에 비례해서 Connection이 강해집니다. 이걸 우리는 능력이라고 하죠.   제가 실험실에 들어갈 때 얘기를 해드리죠. 교수님이 물었습니다. 너 영어 잘하니? 논문 읽을 수 있니? 대답에 ‘네’ 라고 자신 있게 대답했지요. 대학교에서 배운 던 것 이 생물, 화학이였으니까요. 결과는? 참담했습니다. 논문을 파악하는 데만 3개월 걸렸어요. 실험다운 실험을 진행 하지도 못했죠. 3 Month.   (이것이 제가 믿어왔던 나의 능력이 였고 그 능력은 보잘것 없었습니다. 학습과 연구는 다른 분야였던 것이죠. 내가 잘했다고 믿었던 것들이 교수님과 박사님 앞에서 무너져 갈 때 극도의 창피함을 느꼈습니다. 도대체 내가 할 줄 아는게 무엇인가 라는 생각이 들었어요)   그래서 저는 작년에 도전해보았습니다. 저의 분야가 아닌곳에. 한국경제가 개최하는 경제 시사 시험이 있어요. 단 1주일 전에 접수를 하고 공부를 한다음에 성적을 받았어요. 결과는? Normal이였죠. 제가 어떤 사람이냐면 저는 고등학교 때 이후로 Demand-Supply 본적이 없어요. 공부하는 과정이 어려웠지만 경제학은 논리적이였고 보다 수월하게 배울 수 있었습니다.   .   이쯤되니까 저는 깨달았어요. 내가 ‘어 그건 제분야가 아닌대요’ 라고 말하고 시간이 충분히 있었음에도 거절했던건, 저의 능력이 부족함이 아니였던입니다. 뒤돌아보니 내 전공을 확실히하고 다른것에대서 피해왔던 제자신이 부끄러워졌어요. 여러분들은 이런 경험이 있나요? 무엇인가를 하고싶은데 망설이시는 가요? 만약 그렇다면 저의 경험을 빌어 도전하는 여러분이 되었으면 좋겠습니다. 감사합니다.

what could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?

 - Try without powerpoint. it could be challenge for you to get a full attention from audience but throughout this you can step up to next level.

- 두 번째 발표 자기평가

내용은 좋았지만 과학 지식과 스토리로연결되는 것이 매끄럽지 못했다. 또한 마무리와 내가 전달하고 자하는바가 청중들에게 잘 전달되지않았다. 말은 여전히 빨랐고 너무 흔하고 내가 아는 단어로만 연설을 진행해서 단어의 다양성이 없었다. 피피티로 발표하는건 이제 자제하고 청중들이 나에게 집중할 수 있는 언어스피치를 집중해야겠다.
